The Screen Actor’s Space is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 (Privacy Act).
The Screen Actor’s Space collects and holds personal information, which may include sensitive information, when students enrol or audition. If a student enrols or auditions we may collect your name, date of birth, address, email address, academic history, nationality, acting experience and sometimes credit card details. This information will be stored in our secure data-base.
The Screen Actor’s Space may also collect such personal and sensitive information such as racial or ethnic origins, health issues, political opinions, religion, trade or other association union memberships, sexual preference or criminal record etc. We will also store some teacher comments on auditions or class performance.
The Screen Actors’ Space will NOT:
(1) Use or disclose any personal information about a student to any outside person or other student except with the permission of that student.
(2) Inform or disclose to anyone outside The Screen Actor’s Space any teacher notes or comments on auditions or the auditions themselves without the express permission of the student.
*This information has to be passed on for health or safety reasons or special circumstances (such as police requests).
