Ross McGregor is one of the most revered acting teachers in Australia. He has taught acting with distinction at NIDA (1986-91), The Actor’s Centre (1991-94), WAAPA (2009-13), the VCA, The International Screen Academy (2013-14), The Canberra Repertory Theatre, AFTRS (1986-91 and 1997-2005) The Actors’ Centre London, The British Film School and the Perth Actor’s Hub (2017-18). He has directed over 60 full-length plays for theatre, with Canberra Rep, The Stables, Sydney, The Independent, Lambert House, Hunter Valley Theatre, Darlinghurst Eternity Theatre and many others. He has also directed television shows Neighbours, The Restless Years, Sons and Daughters and more as well as acting in films and numerous plays. His knowledge of actors and acting is unique in this country and his philosophy the mainstay of the training at THE SCREEN ACTOR’S SPACE.
Ross has worked professionally with actors like Max Cullen, Michael Caton, Michelle Fawdon, Deborah Kennedy, Jane Harders, Frank Gallagher. Angela Punch McGregor, Victoria Longley, Ed Wightman, Doreen Warburton, John Hannah, Noeline Brown, Claire Lovering, Ronald Falk, John Mellion, John Doyle, Terry Donovan, Linda Cropper and in student productions with Jacqueline McKenzie, Richard Roxburgh, Baz Luhrmann, Deborah Unger, Angie Millikin, Miranda Otto, Jeremy Sims and many more.
